Pittsburgh, PA: Lewis-Goetz and Company, Inc., one of the nation’s largest industrial distributors, has named Jeffrey T. Crane President & Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2008. Mr. Crane has served as the company’s President since May, 2006.
David R. Goetz, Sr., formerly Chairman and CEO of Lewis-Goetz, will remain as Chairman of the company. Goetz, who turns 63 this month, will continue to drive the organization’s acquisition activities and remain active with major customers and suppliers.
Crane, 41, is a 1988 graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He was employed by Lewis-Goetz for two years before completing a master’s degree in international political economy from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
In 1992, Crane began working for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio, where he spent 11 years in a variety of sales and marketing positions.
He returned to Lewis-Goetz as the Southern Region Vice President in 2003 and was promoted to President in May 2006.
